But, nightshades like the tomatillos, poblano peppers, jalapenos, and serrano peppers, which give authentic chile verde its heat and green coloring, can be rough on those with autoimmune diseases and a number of digestive issues. This soup is a welcome relief if you’re sick of Thanksgiving leftovers and want spice without the chile!
