Greeeeeen, nutritious broth!!

It’s November recipe week! Our brothers and sisters in the flavor community aren’t entirely off base when making fun of us white folks for our puny palates. But, nightshades like the tomatillos, poblano peppers, jalapenos, and serrano peppers, which give authentic chile verde its heat and green coloring, can be rough on those with autoimmune diseases and a number of digestive issues. This soup is a welcome relief if you’re sick of Thanksgiving leftovers and want spice without the chile!
